PPR Pipe Sizes and Dimensions
PPR pipe is commonly specified by its outside diameter, wall thickness, pressure class and pipe length.
Unlike some metal piping systems that use nominal inch sizes, PPR pipes are generally identified by their metric outside diameter, such as 20 mm, 25 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 63 mm, 75 mm, 90 mm, 110 mm, 125 mm, 160 mm and larger sizes.
For buyers, wholesalers and engineering contractors, the pipe diameter alone is not enough to select the correct PPR pipe. You should also check the wall thickness, pressure class, applicable standard and intended application.

How to Read PPR Pipe Sizes
For example:
20 × 2.0 × 4 m
means:
20 mm - nominal outside diameter
2.0 mm - wall thickness
4 m - pipe length
So a 20 × 2.0 mm PPR pipe has an outside diameter of approximately 20 mm and a nominal wall thickness of 2.0 mm.
What Do PN12.5, PN16, PN20 and PN25 Mean?
PPR pipes are available in different pressure classes, including PN12.5, PN16, PN20 and PN25 in IFAN's product range.
In general, a higher pressure class is associated with a greater wall thickness for the same outside diameter.

Why Does the Wall Thickness Change?
For the same outside diameter, PPR pipes with different pressure classes may have different wall thicknesses.
For example, a 20 mm PPR pipe in the supplied specifications has:
PN12.5: 2.0 mm
PN16: 2.3 mm
PN20: 2.8 mm
PN25: 3.4 mm
A thicker wall generally means a smaller internal flow passage for the same outside diameter.
This is why buyers should specify both the pipe diameter and pressure class when requesting PPR pipe quotations.
