The 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake, also known as the "Wenchuan Earthquake", occurred at 14:28:4 on May 12, 2008, Beijing time. The epicenter was located in Yingxiu Town, Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

It was felt in China in the north to Inner Mongolia, in the east to Shanghai, in the west to Tibet, and in the south to Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and other regions. Outside China, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and The earthquake was felt in Japan and other countries.
