Eight elements for PPR pipe installation
1. PP-R pipe has lower hardness and poor rigidity than metal pipe. It should be protected during handling and construction to avoid mechanical damage caused by improper external force. After concealed laying, the position of the pipeline shall be marked to prevent the secondary decoration from damaging the pipeline.
2. PP-R pipe has certain low-temperature brittleness below 5 ℃, so be careful in winter construction. When cutting the pipe, use a sharp knife to cut it slowly. When necessary, the parts that are vulnerable to external pressure shall not be covered by PPR.
3. PPR pipes are easy to be aged and degraded by ultraviolet radiation for a long time. Dark protective layer must be wrapped when installed outdoors or in direct sunlight.
4. Except that PPR pipes are connected with metal pipes or water dispensers by mechanical connection methods such as threaded inserts or flanges, the rest shall be connected by hot melt to make the pipes integrated without leakage points.
5. The linear expansion coefficient of PPR pipe is relatively large (0.15mm / m ℃), and technical measures to prevent pipe expansion and deformation must be taken when exposed installation or non directly buried concealed pipe laying.
6. After the installation of PPR pipeline, the pressure test must be carried out before sealing the pipe (directly buried) and covering the decorative layer (non directly buried concealed laying). The pressure test pressure of cold water pipe is 1.5 times of the working pressure of the system, but it shall not be less than 1MPa; The test pressure of hot water pipe shall be twice the working pressure, but shall not be less than 1.5MPa. The time and method of pressure test are specified in the technical specification.
7. When PPR pipes are laid in the open or not directly buried concealed way, supports and hangers must be installed as required.
8. Cool down to the specified time and complete the connection.
