Tools and Materials Required
Gather all necessary tools and materials before starting the installation. Ensure you have the following:
PPR concealed valve
PPR pipes
Pipe cutter
Teflon tape
Wrench
Pipe fittings
Measuring tape
Step 1: Prepare the Installation Site
Inspect the area where you will install the valve. Clear any debris or obstructions from the site. Measure the required dimensions accurately using a measuring tape. Mark the spots where you will install the valve and pipes.
Step 2: Cut and Prepare the Pipes
Cut the PPR pipes to the required lengths using a pipe cutter. Smooth the edges of the pipes to remove any burrs. Clean the pipe ends to ensure proper fitting. Dry the pipes to prevent moisture-related issues.
Step 3: Connect the Pipes to the Valve
Wrap Teflon tape around the threads of the concealed valve. Attach the valve to the PPR pipes using appropriate fittings. Tighten the connections using a wrench. Ensure the valve sits securely without leaks.
Step 4: Fix the Valve in Place
Position the valve in the marked location on the wall. Secure it firmly using mounting brackets or screws. Make sure the valve remains aligned with the pipes. Check that the handle operates smoothly.
Step 5: Test the Installation
Turn on the water supply to check for leaks. Open and close the valve several times to test its functionality. Inspect all connections for tightness and adjust if necessary. Ensure the valve operates without obstruction.
